Parent Coaching is a new service to Capital Family Services and works to create coaching and modelling opportunities for parents facing various challenges with their children. Parent Coaches work directly with parents and their children to:

• Teach skill development and create learning opportunities for parents with children with exceptionalities and behavioural issues using ABA techniques
• Create learning opportunities for parents to hone their skills though modelling the appropriate reaction or skill in specific high-stress situations
• Develop and improve communication skills between parents and their children
• Offer psychosocial services to parents and their children
• Create benchmark success points to track progress
